- M4
- Unified memory
- 16GB
- Built-in storage
- 256GB SSD
Rent a dedicated physical Mac mini—not a shared virtual machine. Both configurations are available in Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, and the US West. Choose a daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly plan, all priced in USD.
Rental fees depend on the billing period you select. Check real-time location and configuration availability in the console.
Start with a day for a short task, or compare weekly, monthly, and quarterly rates for ongoing builds or inference. Changing the billing period only updates the displayed price; it won’t place an order.
A practical starting point for everyday Xcode builds, device testing, and lightweight MLX experiments.
More memory for larger model contexts, multiple resident models, and large project builds.
Both plans give you a dedicated machine with SSH and macOS graphical access. Prices exclude optional add-ons listed below. Confirm the final details in the console when choosing a location and billing period.
Only add-ons selected during configuration are included in your order. Extra SSD storage suits project assets, model files, and build caches. Thunderbolt 5 daisy-chaining is priced per machine. Review the full price list before adding anything.
| Add-on | Daily | Weekly | Monthly | Quarterly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| +1TB SSD | $2.2 | $5.8 | $10.8 | $29.4 |
| +2TB SSD | $4.4 | $11.6 | $21.6 | $58.8 |
| Thunderbolt 5 daisy-chainingper machine | $1.3 | $3.5 | $6.4 | $17.4 |
These are add-on prices only, not totals including the Mac. Added storage is listed separately from the machine’s built-in storage. Check each line item before placing your order.
This is a pricing example, not an order. It shows how the machine and add-ons are priced together, and what to check before checkout.
This table compares how each option is delivered and allocated. It doesn’t rely on unverified hardware prices or benchmark claims. “Shared virtual machine” is included for comparison only; it isn’t a product offered here.
| What to compare | Rent a dedicated Cloud Mac | Buy a Mac mini | Shared virtual machine |
|---|---|---|---|
| Upfront and ongoing costs | Pay the listed price for your chosen term; no need to buy the whole machine upfront | Pay the hardware cost upfront, then manage the device yourself | Costs depend on the provider’s resources and billing rules; they aren’t comparable to the price of a whole machine |
| Getting started | Choose a configuration, location, and term, then place your order. Check setup status in the console | Depends on purchasing, delivery, cabling, and local setup | Depends on the provider’s provisioning process |
| Resource allocation | Each rental gives you a dedicated physical Mac mini, not a virtual machine | You control the entire machine | Underlying hardware is typically shared among multiple customers |
| Flexibility to upgrade | Choose a different listed configuration for your next term; check the console for available changes | Changing configurations usually means buying another machine or selling the old one | Depends on the virtual resources you can adjust and the provider’s limits |
| Unified memory available for MLX | Based on the rented machine: 16GB for M4 or 64GB for M4 Pro | Depends on the configuration of the machine you bought | The host’s total memory is not the same as the memory available to your instance |
These are orderable configurations, not a timestamped inventory snapshot. Both machines are available in Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, and the US West. Check real-time availability in the console when placing your order.

For interactive development or remote desktop use, start with a location closer to you or your team. Latency also depends on the network route, so don’t judge it by location name alone.
Model weights, context, resident processes, and build tasks all use unified memory. Estimate peak usage first, then decide whether you need a larger physical machine.
A good fit for everyday Xcode builds, simulator testing, and carefully sized inference experiments with quantised 7B–14B models. Whether a model fits in memory depends on quantisation, context length, and concurrent processes—not just parameter count.
For a short-term version compatibility task, compare daily and weekly plans. For a CI workload that runs regularly, check monthly or quarterly pricing.
For larger contexts, multiple resident models, or running large project builds alongside MLX services on one machine, 64GB of unified memory gives you more room to work. The built-in 2TB SSD also has space for projects and model files.
For large assets or long-term caches, check the prices for +1TB or +2TB SSD separately. Extra storage doesn’t increase memory.
